Jason K. Baack, M.Ed., CISSP is an entrepreneur, local business owner, and Technology Coordinator for the Hutchinson Center in Belfast.   Certified as an Information Security System Professional (CISSP), Jason has vast experience in the development and management of secure computing systems. Jason has a wealth of experience with technology and the proper implementation of technology in the education and healthcare environment. Jason specializes in collaboration technologies, information security, as well as distance education. He loves teaching at Summer Tech and working with the teacher population who are jacked up on chocolate that he provides in ALL of his sessions.

Scott Bosworth
Scott Bosworth

Scott has been integrating technology into a career exploration program
called Pathways since 1999. He currently works with primarily eighth graders
at the Skowhegan Area Middle School and co leads the student tech team with
integrationist Laura Richter. He has been actively on board utilizing the
MLTI laptop since the program began in 2002, each year looking for new ways
to integrate new and updated software. After school and weekends Scott can
often be found helping his family at their dairy farm where they milk 330
cows…TWICE A DAY! His wife, Stacey, operates a daycare out of their home
so kids are never in short supply. Scott has a B.S. in Secondary Education
from UMF and Masters of Education in the area of Instructional Technology
from UMaine.

Tim Hart

Tim is an Instructional Technologist at the University of Maine College of Education and Human Development. He holds a bachelors in Education as well as a Masters in Instructional Technology. As a self proclaimed techno geek he is interested in anything computer related. He is also very interested in using technology to improve education. He lives in Orono, ME with his wife Morgan, son Logan, and their two dogs Maya and Ada. Tim blogs at www.edutim.com.

Laura Richter

Laura Richter

Laura Richter is a history teacher, civil rights team leader, and technology Integrationist at the Skowhegan Area Middle School where she has taught for 23 years. She has been actively involved in the Maine Learning Technology Initiative training both middle level and high school teachers across the state. In June 2003, Laura was awarded the Apple Distinguished Educator Award, and in 2000 she received the Maine Public Broadcasting teacher of the year award. Laura has a special interest in place-based learning and has been working closely with the Maine Historical Society and local historians to ensure that students become involved in rich community service projects. She received her B.A. from the University of Maine at Orono, and holds a Masters in Computer Education from Thomas College. Laura has 4 grown children and lives in Waterville with her husband, Harry, a violinmaker.

Sarah Sutter

A high school technology integrator and art teacher, Sarah Sutter has been teaching at Wiscasset High School for 15 years.   A MLTI Teacher Leader, Sarah spends much of her day helping other teachers integrate a wide variety of tools and social media technology across all curricular areas.   Sarah is also a Google Certified Teacher (NY08), and is the administrator for her school’s Google Apps for Education and Moodle server. In October 2004 Sarah was awarded the ACTEM Technology Educator of the Year award.  She has presented workshops at places ranging from Educon in Philadelphia to the K12 Online Conference to FOSSED to MLTI Summer Tech in Castine and UMaine’s SummerTech in Belfast in 2009. Sarah has also taught photography and digital imaging at the University of Maine in Augusta for 5 years.  Sarah holds an MFA from Lesley University in Digital Photography and Video, is closing in on her MEd in Instructional Technology from UMaine, and holds a BA in English from Wesleyan University.
